Terms of Service

Effective date: October 1, 2026

These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between users and the operator of bombMemo ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

• The Service lets you temporarily store text, photos and archive files and exchange them with other devices using a 6-character code, QR code or link, free of charge.
• Guests can share text only; only signed-in members can upload photos and archive files. Member plans are Free and Plus, and the maximum retention (30 and 90 days), the number and size of attachments, and the daily save count differ by plan. Paid plans are available by purchase.
• A memo must contain at least 10 characters of text (excluding spaces) or at least one photo or file to be saved; if you save only photos or files, their file names are stored as the text. To prevent automated bulk creation, members can save up to 20 memos per day (Korea time), and guests up to 10 per hour and 30 per day from the same network.
• A memo published to "🎲 random browsing" must be kept for 24 hours or less and cannot contain links. Keeping a memo for more than 7 days is available to members whose accounts are older than 7 days, up to 5 at a time; members on the paid plan (Plus) can keep up to 10 at a time regardless of account age.
• Saved memos are deleted automatically after the time you choose and cannot be recovered.
• Users signed in with Google get extra features such as longer retention, private memos and instant deletion.
• Members must agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy when they first sign in before using member features. We ask again when the terms change.

2. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

1. Upload or share illegal content (including non-consensual intimate imagery, child sexual abuse material, obscene material, gambling or drugs)
2. Upload content that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights
3. Upload malware, viruses, phishing files or any file that can harm other people's devices or data
4. Post other people's personal information without consent, or impersonate others
5. Post spam, advertising or promotional content in bulk
6. Guess share codes at random or place excessive load on the Service with automated tools
7. Otherwise interfere with the Service or harm other users

3. Responsibility for content

• Links or content that violate the law (illegal, gambling, sexually explicit images, etc.) may be deleted without prior notice if you publish them.
• Uploaded photos and files are automatically screened and subject to reports. If illegal, gambling-related or sexually explicit images are found, we remove them without prior notice, the account is permanently suspended, and we may cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
• You keep the rights to, and are responsible for, the content you upload.
• The operator processes content only as needed to provide the Service (storage, delivery and automatic deletion) and does not use it for any other purpose.
• A shared memo can be opened by anyone who knows its code, QR code or link. Memos marked "🎲 Show in random browse" can also be viewed by people who do not know the code.
• Only signed-in members can choose "🎲 Show in random browse", and the member who makes a memo public is responsible for its content and any legal consequences. Public memos are shown anonymously, but the operator can identify the member to handle reports and lawful requests.
• The operator may remove a public memo from the public list or delete it without notice if a problem is confirmed through a report or otherwise.

4. Reports and enforcement

Anyone can report an inappropriate memo using the "🚩 Report" button on the memo screen or by email. The operator may delete or block access to content it considers in violation of section 2 without prior notice, and may notify the relevant authorities of repeated or serious violations.

5. Changes and interruptions

The operator may change or suspend all or part of the Service for improvements, maintenance or outages. Because memos are not backed up, please keep your own copy of anything important.

6. Advertising

The Service may show ads to users who are not signed in. Banner ads may also be shown to members; no automatic full-screen (interstitial) ads are shown to members. On the receiving screen, ads may be shown once at least 10 different people have opened the same memo, and this threshold may be lowered as the Service matures. No ads are shown on memos that have been reported. Information processing related to ads follows the Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of liability

• The Service is provided free of charge. Except in cases of intent or gross negligence, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the Service, such as data loss, automatic deletion or temporary outages.
• You are responsible for the consequences of opening or using memos or files you receive. Do not open files from people you do not know.

8. Changes to these terms

The operator may change these terms when necessary and will post a notice on this page at least 7 days before the change takes effect.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes relating to the Service are resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any difference between versions, the Korean version prevails.
